Thought for the Day
I think It is crystal clear to me that one of the kindest (and easiest) things we can do to the world (and thereby make it a better place to live in) is to only - and consciously - take up a job that we really love and believe in. This will undoubtedly make the world a much better place to be in because if we are engaged in work that we really love and believe in, the world will have less politics, stress, negativism and unhappiness to deal with. Think about it and please do something about it if you can!

How true.
Well, kindest - yes, but not always the easiest. Because we live in a society where certain occupations are considered far better than others. Worse if our dear ones force us to take up soemthing which we don't want to otherwise, but just to please them.
We don't want to hurt them, and instead we chose to burn ourselves forcing to do.
If things are to be the way as you mentioned, there should be a world which respects all jobs and respects the individuality of the person in that job.
Ages to go, before we reach that stage. Well.. some day.
Sreejith,
Thanks so much for leaving a comment. I think you are right. It may not necessarily be easy in the sense that you indicate. I guess I must have been thinking about the fact that doing the work per se will be very easy since you'll enjoy it. But, yes, there are plenty of obstacles that you have to overcome on the way to getting there.
I am afraid the world will never pay equal importance to all jobs...so it would be up to us to take up the job that we love and do it so well that people will be forced to see the beauty in what we are engaged in. I suspect the US is that way more open to all kinds of professions and specializations whereas down here in India, we celebrate only the engineers and the doctors (well, things have changed a bit of late...so let's see! :-))
I am doing a job that I don't love and believe in. Hence, this statement of yours is true by counter argument. Cheers to you !
