George Bernard Shaw - "When a thing is funny, search it carefully for a hidden truth."
...one of the reasons why I am fascinated by certain kinds of humour. Sometimes I laugh till it hurts and then suddenly freeze to an absolute stop as I begin to see beyond the initial humour. It takes me a while to come out of the see-saw experience. Have you heard of clever humour? Have you heard of utter nonsensical humour? What is what? When do you laugh and then think? When do you think and then laugh?Mmm. Nonsense sometimes makes more sense than sense....you know?

which comes, yet has more relevance !!
Just got this idea, when i was going thro' this post.
Nonsense - No (e)N(d) in SENSE
Makes sense ?? ;)
Very true! It makes a lot of sense.. When i think of clever humour, first thing that comes to my mind is C&H! smart and humorous!
I so agree with Shaw!Indeed, not all humor is just what it seems.
Happy weekend :)
Very True! Kalaivanar once said that it is only the humans who can laugh. No other living being has this habit.( so we believe). Thinking and laughing always go together and add to each other.

Truth exists in every form. In a certain kind of humour there is an underlying irony over which humans have no control and from that helplessness arises thought and the related quest for truth.
