Q. Life...? Ans. Wisdom <=> Love

" Some times I feel I am everything, I call that Love. Sometimes I feel I am nothing, I call that Wisdom. Between Love and Wisdom my life continuously flows"- Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

I am fascinated by this outlook.....and completely convinced that this is an amazing way of looking at life.
Knowing that one is Everything - Love.
Knowing that one is Nothing - Wisdom

Wow. Cool. (:-o

Hi ilker! :)
Indeed. Worth a lot of time, this quote. I plan to continue to think about it as well. And it goes without saying that I want to know what you think post meditation ;). Don't forget to enlighten me....!

Yes - this quote is correct when v r - a single entity and have a self centerd thoughts, human is termed as social animal - its true in most cases - then this quote might be not correct !! jus my thoughts

Hey Vinod,
....I don't see anything self-centered or for that matter anything against being social, in the quote! :o
Far from it, doesn't it talk about loving the rest of the world and realizing that one is not the ultimate in wisdom and the rest of the world has lots to offer if only we are open???? So, what exactly was your interpretation? Why do you think it is self-centered/against social activities? :)

Second line is truly appreciative - it is similar to wat we discussed earlier - WE ARE NOT AWARE OF EVERYTHING - yes this is wisdom, but 1st line - doesn't say what u r trying to convey, u r saying Lov the rest...but as per the Mahraj it is HIM/I is everything in life... for me it sounds little confusing & selfcenterd....shed ur thoughts and correct me if i'm wrong

hmmm. well, this is my way of looking at it - he says he is everything when it comes to love because human beings are capable of extending infinite love. There is no limit to the love you can extend to the world - think of Mother Theresa. God has given us humans 'everything' when it comes to love! :)
