Sharepoint - KN - Knowledge Network

Microsoft is working on a tool called KN (Knowledge Network) that goes along with its KM-Collaboration product - MS SharepointPortal Server 2007 (SPS 2007). KN is on the lines of an SNA+Expertise Location tool that works in tandem with Active Directoty (Employee Profiles database), MS Outlook (Email) and MySite (Personal sites on MS SharepointPortal Server).

The MS KN team has a place in the blogosphere like many other MS individuals and teams. The team blog is here...

Given that SPS 2007 has a plethora of facilities as compared to its previous version, this in combination with plug-ins/add-ons like KN, Groove (A cool project workspace product taken over by MS a couple of years ago) etc definitely seems like a deadly KM-Collaboration product. (But I am left wondering how good the SPS default search engine will be. Hopefully better than that in the SPS 2003 version)

Anyways, looks like all the MS software-based organizations have lots to expect this year....!

Nice Blog Nimmy!
and thanks for the comment at mine...good to know someone who knows russian...
Regarding the message, people mocked at him because of his idealistic points of argument, which appeared to be irrational to most. However, what I alluded to in my entry was the manner in which "gandhi" was being used for branding. Peep into my blog in a couple of days to dig into it. Will then look forward to your comments :)
Happy New Year!

There is a pattern in that thought bubble. Just the H looks like a russian font!!! Replace all those so-called russian fonts with H... :)

Looking forward to read your blog often....

Thanks for this lead to Puru's blog. I enjoyed reading his work on social networking. I have also asked him to see my blog post on push and pull forces in communication
