Temples

The debate on the differences between Religion and Spirituality is an old one and perhaps one that does not actually satisfy either - debating - parties completely.

Nevertheless, here is what occurred to me.

Religion is keeping track of the number (and type/popularity/specialty) of temples one visits. Spirituality is not having to keep track of the number of times one drives others to the temple (looking for peace of mind, that is). ;-)

Nimmy, can spin many versions of this, but in essence R creates a boundary, S invites one to step out of it.

Hello Nimmy:

The way I look at it is God created Man and Man created religion and whom do you think did a better job?

My view is each can go directly to the Source Of All Life rather than through middle men.

Take care,
Mike

That's a million dollar question, Mike! :-)) But I just L.O.V.E (to the power of infinity) what you said - why can't we be in direct contact with the Source?!! Amen!

Oops! Mike, I lost your comment accidentally. Very sorry. Was using my hand-held to check emails and touched 'delete' instead of 'publish' as they were very close to each other. This is why touch screen is such a bother! :(

Hello Nimmy:

Don't feel bad. Mistakes do happen. I wrote a beautiful essay as an introduction to an article I was to post on my blog a few days ago and when I pushed the publish button it disappered and I will never get it back. I often write as a stream of consciousness and the words just come to me and it's a one time deal. If I don't record the words, they are lost forever.

You be well and have a lovely weekend,
Mike
