I could kill my enemy
I could simply contemplate killing my enemy
I might hate my enemy
I might tolerate my enemy
I might ignore my enemy
I might forgive my enemy
I might not even know my enemy
The decision or ability is mine
Because the enemy, also, is within me

This reminds me this quote from Bhagavad Gita ""One should uplift oneself by one's own efforts and should not degrade oneself. One's own self is one's friend and one's own self is one's enemy. (6.5)" The uncontrolled mind becomes acts like an enemy since it drives us to wrong actions whereas the controlled mind becomes a powerful weapon in gaining knowledge leading to liberation"
