W.F.S

I know bucketing people is not particularly considered wise. But I can't help it. Do you find yourself focusing on one of these dimensions of life constantly? I am skeptical about people being able to concentrate on everything. In some cases, it may be two dimensions (like W and F).

1. The W group: Wisdom, Work, Wit (includes pursuit of all mental skills)

2. The F group: Food, Fitness, Family (worldly relationships), and Finances

3. The S group: Serenity (search for peace and quiet), Spirituality (intrigued by sincerity, morals, supernatural experiences and social-causes) and Sensitivity (emotional rather than rational aspects, creative endeavors that don't necessarily make sense to others)

If you find yourself falling under one of these categories, do you think it is easier for you to relate to others in the same category?

Hey Nimmy... a perceptive classification indeed... I believe these types do exist.

The labels you've chosen are also catchy and brilliant.

:-) Thanks, Rakesh. So glad to see you are able to relate to my thought!

To add my 2 cents, I think there is another category of people who focus exclusively on power. They hardly care for the W group, neglect the F group, and don't give a damn to the S group. To them, power is the ultimate pleasure and the only worthwhile pursuit in life... therefore they tend to measure everything on the scale of power, consciously or unconsciously.

Hello Nimmy:

I can relate to people in all 3 buckets as you call it. I have labeled this, putting people in neat little boxes. The realm of medical science and academics.

I don't put a lot of stock in such foolishness---at least from my perspective.

All I will say, is choose a bucket that is not too heavy to carry. Perhaps the air head or space kadet bucket...real lightweights and a lot of fun at the same time. ((:

Take care my cleaver friend,
MIke

ps: I can also highly advise a trip to a land with a lot of water and forests. Good for not just the body but the Soul. Anywhere is Norden would fit the bill.

Thank you @Rakesh and @Mikey

@Rakesh: Umm....power with some money to boot? :-)

@Mikey: Yup...the realm of medical sciences and academics indeed! I think we (I speak for myself ;-)) tend to gravitate towards one of these dimensions based on parenting, natural abilities and strong experiences. Maybe we move from one to another based on specific circumstances....wonder if it is possible to be holistic in our approach via education. :-)

Hello Nimmy:

You can take an holistic approach if you wish, but it's not yet time in the evolution of humanity for such freedom of thought. Individually, yes, it can be done, in a group , lots of luck or no way.

It's almost impossible to break through a Man created belief...sure it is done, but usually takes a long, long time.

Mike
ps: You are younger than I, so you have longer to work on this problem.
